Blogette – new short story added, ‘The Weather Vane’. And more inspiration

Back from holiday and a new short story, ‘The Weather Vane’. Hope ‘Ship’ kept you entertained whilst I was away. Inspiration updated with my holiday reads.

For this first post holiday blog I have a new short story  to stories and more,  ‘The Weather Vane’, enjoy. weather vane_edited-1 Spent much of my time away catching up on my reading (see Inspiration):

My holiday reads:

The Mote in God’s Eye – a classic first contact story from Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle

The Moon Over Soho and Whispers Underground from Ben Aaronovitch.  I love these detective stories of magic and wierd goings on in London, told with great humour.

The Long Earth – Terry Pratchet and Stephen Baxter.  Great concept, but not sure about it.  If you’ve read it let me know what you think.

1356 – The latest of Bernhard Cornwell’s series of stories about archer Thomad Hookton.  Always a treat to read a new Bernhard Cornwell.
