A Blogette – A new short story, more recommendations and a question.

A new short story. Some more inspiration and a question

Short Story – Dancing with the Devil

Again inspired by the writers group word of the week which was ‘dancing’.  It was fun to write and I hope it at least makes you smile.  You can dance like Fred Astaire. But there’s a price to be paid, of course.

New recommendations:

I have updated my ‘Inspiration‘ list.’  With:

Recent Reads : Ken Macleod’s ‘The Night Sessions’.  A Sci-fi detective story (a rare thing?)

Bill Bryson – Always make you smile, if not laugh out loud.  Witty observations on life, places and people.  Particular favourites are:  ‘Notes from a small Island’, an affectionate tour round the UK.  And the ‘The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid’ about his early years growing up in Des Moines, Iowa in the 1950s.

Stephen Lawhead – I’m a bit of a sucker for Arthur stories and I think Stephen’s is one of the best starting with Merlin’s father Taliesin.

The Question?

The short story ‘Watching’ has been interpreted in more than one way, which is interesting for me.  So if you haven’t read it, please do (it’s very short, only 530 words)  and let me know.  The questions are – who is watching? and whose are the ashes being spread?
